In the fall of 2019, the foundation’s board and Ahlström family members living abroad elected to found an affiliate organization – Eva Ahlström Foundation International (EAFI). EAFI will form part of the Eva Ahlström Foundation’s (EAS) ecosystem and will operate under the same charter and bylaws as the foundation itself.
Eva Ahlström International has its own steering committee comprised of members Anne Canepa (chair), Pauline Borg, Catherine Bernhard, Jessica Caruso, Niklas Gistö, and Stefan Studer. EAFI is intended to enable and facilitate the involvement of Ahlström family members living abroad in the foundation’s activities. Future donations and projects will be carried out jointly by EAS and EAFI.
Anne Canepa (Chair)
When the opportunity to write the international chapter of the Eva Foundation arose, I took the opportunity to create Eva Ahström International, along with other members of the Ahlström family and to continue in the path of our ancestors Eva and Antti Ahlström, who believed that with privileges comes responsibilities.
Pauline Borg (vice chair)
Being involved in the family foundation allows us to have a platform to drive change, to use it for advocacy and to ultimately share this knowledge with our networks. I am hoping that people realise that they too can be actors of positive change and that no one is too small to make an impact on the world.
Jessica Caruso
I appreciate women empowering themselves and others, and taking action. These are attributes that the Eva Ahlström Foundation and its international chapter stand for and promote. Once the opportunity arose to lend a helping hand, I gladly took it. Let’s find out just how far we can go if we let our actions speak louder than our words.
